Mixology returns from lockdown not only with our established monthly events but also with a brand new concept: UNDER!
Partnering with Nene Park for this one-off event in 2021, the ‘Under’ concept aims to showcase an outdoor dance event that rivals any UK production of this size in idyllic, unique surroundings that juxtapose the concrete, industrial setting where the event will be based and the beautiful, scenic landscapes in the distance of the River Nene and Nene Park itself.
Event will take place under the Nene Parkway Bridge near Orton Mere, Peterborough on Saturday 14th August 2021 from 12pm until 10pm.
And to soundtrack the event we’re bringing world renowned Skream back to Peterborough to headline! Skream created an incredible atmosphere when he performed at our 6th Birthday in 2018 at Red Room. Expect the extraordinary once again for our inaugural outdoor event!
As well as bringing the world’s best DJs to Peterborough, we also pride ourselves on ensuring local DJs and producers have a platform to perform. Artists such as Maur, Alisha, C.O.Z, ADR and Roobinz have all played their first gigs at Mixology and have since gone on to be recognised nationally and internationally.
Mixology presents Under continues this commitment as C.O.Z, ADR and Roobinz will all be performing as well as Dan Wallace & Jason Veitch -DJ duo behind Stamford’s ‘Source‘ brand.
Completing the line-up will be our three Mixology resident DJs: Tom Skinner, James Chan and Dan Clare!
Since 2012, we at Mixology have built an electronic music promotion which is one of the most revered in the East of England, attracting world class DJs to headline every month in Peterborough.
Previous headline artists include the Brit Awards nominated duo Bicep, Patrick Topping Matthias Tanzmann, Tensnake, Solardo as well as BBC Radio One DJs B.Traits and Danny Howard.
During the past 9 years we have curated in excess of one hundred events that have been regularly featured in local and national press (The Guardian, Mixmag, BBC Radio Cambridgeshire & BBC Radio One) including the spectacular 1,200 attended Mixology Warehouse event at Peterborough Arena, which is still reminisced by Peterboroughians as one of the best events hosted in the city.
Mixology Under is set to eclipse any event we have curated to date. We hope you’ll join us for what is set to be a sensational event in the heart of Peterborough!

Under Nene Parkway Flyover, Orton Mere, Peterborough (sat nav / drop off location below). Event begins on Saturday 14th August 2021 from midday (12pm) & ends at 22:00.

ACCESS
Drop off point for Mixology UNDER is Orton Lock Car Park located at Orton Mere, Peterborough (please use the car park name (Orton Lock Car Park) for SAT NAV, not the postcode). The access will be through Oundle Road Orton Mere turn, Peterborough. The event is a 3 minute walk from the car park. Stewards & signage will be in place to direct you to the entrance. We do not recommend to use the Boathouse / Rowing Club side for accessing or leaving the event due to an event being held at the Rowing Lake & much further distance.
PARKING & TAXIS
Besides Orton Lock Car Park, we will also have the Orton Mere Station Car Park in use for this event only. Both car parks are located at Orton Mere, Peterborough (please don’t use the postcode for sat nav, use car park name).Both car parks will be available with fees. We encourage using public transport / lifts / taxis. Please arrange your travel home / to town in advance. Alternative parking is available at Ferry Meadows Country Park from where it is approximately a 30 minute walk to event location. Parking charges are in place with the option to pay at a pay machine or via an app. Car parks are managed by Nene Park Trust and all parking fees go towards supporting the work of the Trust. DISABILITY ACCESS
Orton Lock Car Park has Disabled Parking spots and we have disabled toilet available at the event site.
ENTERING & EXITING THE EVENT
There is no readmission to the event once you leave.
COVID-19
We encourage you to get vaccinated from Covid-19 and take a lateral flow test before the event to ensure yours and everyone’s safety against the virus. We will not require proof of test results or vaccination upon entry however. Please do not attend the event if you feel unwell or have any COVID related symptoms. We will have sanitisation stations at the event and high touch areas will be cleaned regularly.
FOOD & DRINK
There will be a fully stocked licensed bar serving alcohol and soft drinks as well as food vendors selling a variety of hot and cold snacks on site.
No food or drink can be brought in to the venue and will be confiscated upon entry. This includes empty bottles / containers. No food or drink can be taken out of the venue either.
CAN I SWIM IN THE LOCK?
There is a strict NO SWIMMING POLICY. Anyone attending the event who enters the water will be refused entry to Mixology UNDER and will be barred from all future Mixology events.
CASH & CARD
Cash and/or card can be used on site to purchase tokens for use at the entry, purchase of after party tickets, at the bar and food vendors. Any unused / unwanted tokens cannot be exchanged or refunded so please purchase only what you intend to consume.
TOILETS
Portaloos, urinals & disabled toilet will be available on site.
CCTV
CCTV cameras and body cameras will be in use throughout the event as per the licensing requirement.
IDENTIFICATION
No ID No Entry. Please ensure you bring valid proof of ID on entrance with your ticket. This event is strictly over 18s only. Valid identification is as follows: Passport (must be in-date) / Driving License / Home Office accredited proof of age ID card / National ID card (must display pass hologram).
ZERO TOLERANCE DRUG POLICY
There is a strict ZERO tolerance drugs policy. Anyone found in possession of illegal substances or contraband goods will be refused admission, ejected from the venue and may be liable for prosecution.
NOISE COMPLAINTS & LOST PROPERTY
If you have any concerns regarding noise, please contact 07925958898 (this number will only be active for noise complaints only during the event hours). Lost property will be handed over to Thorpe Wood Police Station on 17th August.
We will always refund the face value of your tickets in the event of cancellation. Tickets for postponed events will be automatically transferred to the new date. Should the event be postponed, refunds are available on request should you be unable to make the new date. No refunds will be offered should the event go ahead as planned. Booking fees are generally non-refundable and will be determined by the ticket agent you have purchased from.
UNDER is a Mixology event. All Mixology T&C’s will apply to the Under event.
