TENSNAKE

Tensnake’s first taste of critical acclaim came with the release of “In the End (I Want You to Cry)” EP on ‘Running Back’ in 2009. The EP was voted number one on djhistory.com’s end-of-year list, and aided Tensnake’s breakthrough.

2010 saw the release of ‘Coma Cat’, an anthem which continues to ignite dance floors worldwide and earned Tensnake a reputation for being an electronic music pioneer. Called “highly precise modern disco” by the New York Times and “infectious” by Idolator, Tensnake paved the way for today’s contemporary house sound. In 2013, Tensnake delivered an Essential Mix for BBC Radio1’s Pete Tong, thus further cementing his status as a world-class DJ / producer.

‘Glow’, Tensnake’s debut album released in 2014 features an impressive range of collaborations including the almighty Nile Rodgers, three time Grammy-winning Stuart Price (AKA Jacques Lu Cont), Jamie Lidell, MNEK, Fiora, and more.

Since ‘Glow”s release, Tensnake has gone on to launch his own artist label imprint, ‘True Romance’, where he has released tracks from forward-thinking artists such as Andre Hommen, Prison Grande, and Larse.

Support on the night comes from Mixology residents James Chan and one-half of MAUR, Dan Clare. MAUR have been supported by house & techno heavyweights such as Tiga, Richy Ahmed and Benoit & Sergio on the ‘Dossa’ EP. Their latest collaboration with Roobinz (who will also be playing on the night) on ‘Feel It’ is gaining momentum up the Traxsource chart. Expect some exciting exclusive material at Mixo! Plus, we welcome back original Mixology member Jenny Twenty for a one-off set of cosmic disco.

House Proud’s Russell James ; Sean Johnson; Roobinz and Casa Vida residents Davey & Gary are all on the line-up to get the Summer All Nighter vibes started.
Please join us for what is set to be a memorable night in Peterborough at Mixology on Friday 1st July.
