We have a double-header of incredible headline acts for you on Friday 30th August with two of the biggest breakout acts in 2019. We welcome Rebūke and George Smeddles to Mixo!
Rebūke has been fast garnering the attention of everyone in the dance music scene with his blend of house, techno and rave sounds. ‘Along Came Polly’ released on Jamie Jones’ ‘Hot Creations’ was a monster of a track in 2018, exclusively played by the label owner during the summer of 2018, it rocketed to the top of the overall Beatport chart for a month when released in Dec 2018. Pete Tong also named the track his ‘Essential New Tune’ in the final week of 2018.
Further releases on the likes of Defected, Dirtybird, Under No Illusions, Food Music & Circus Records have seen the Irish native booked for the likes of Jamie Jones’ closing ‘Paradise’ party, Annie Mac’s ‘Lost & Found Festival’, Hideout & Fabric.
Our second headliner is George Smeddles. Influenced by a broad genre of dance music, Motown and soul records, George has built on his unique sonic signature; which places emphasis on insatiably groove-laden house tracks. Releases on the likes of Sola, Relief, Do Not Sleep, VIVa have seen him play at the likes of Fabric, Amnesia, Sankeys & Ministry of Sound.
We can’t wait to welcome both to the imperious Red Room sound-system for their Mixo debuts.
Joining them on the night will be our residents: Tom Skinner, and Dan Clare (Maur). Maur are once again finding form with co-producer Roobinz who completes our line-up this Mixo, with their latest release ‘Tantrum’ on Stashed. It’s a certified banger which got the biggest reaction at the Mixo | Elvin Zedo event on June 28th.

The RED | ROOM in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire UK was once an old stage room to the prestigious Embassy building where artists such as the Beatles and Rolling Stones once played. Still maintaining its heritage, the RED | ROOM is now a new music based establishment aimed at showcasing artists and DJ’s from around the globe. The exciting 400 capacity venue features a powerful Martin Audio Sound System and a cleverly positioned LED DJ booth which turns the whole venue into one intimate dance floor!
