Darius Syrossian

We are ecstatic to welcome back the phenom that is Darius Syrossian for his third appearance at Mixology!

‘It’s all house and techno & and I’m not interested in fads’ – words from our headline act, not only define the style and sound of the man, but also represent the principles by which he is recognised globally. For the past twenty years he has immersed himself in the house & techno scene; from running a vinyl record store to becoming one of the most recognised & respected DJs in the world and his lauded Do Not Sleep parties.

True to his words regarding his passion for house & techno, Darius will start his new resident series in his hometown of Manchester at Joshua Brooks with the emphasis of bringing a no-nonsense, stripped back approach to dance music – played out in an intimate, underground environment. It’s a shared philosophy that we have been adhering our Mixology parties to for the past 6 and half years.

Coupled with the start of his new night, Darius’ highly anticipated label ‘moxy_muzik’ debuts with Darius’ own track ‘Dance of the Shaman’ with remixes from previous Mixology headliners East End Dubs and Man Power. Expect to hear some unreleased ‘moxy_muzik’ material as well as gems from Darius’ extensive archive.

Joining Darius on the night we have our trio of resident selectors who will be setting the pace: Tom Skinner, James Chan & Dan Clare. We’re also delighted to welcome back Peterborough talent C.O.Z!

Dan has been laying the foundations of Mixology’s inaugural record label ‘MXO Records’. Expect to hear exclusive material from the label with Dan’s ‘Maur’ alias; Roobinz & Sinner being premiered at Mixology.

C.O.Z has had an incredible year: co-running the Solä label with Solardo, playing at Hï (Ibiza) and releases on Solä, Cr2 Records & Resonance Records. Most impressive of all is Nathan’s latest release for Deadmau5’s label: ‘Back & Forth’ with a nod towards electro / tech-house basslines of 2006 era. It’s a driving, euphoric tech-house stomper that is sure to be resonating around dancefloors around the globe and made and exported from little old Peterborough!

We’ll see you at the front, for what’s set to be another incredible Mixo party!
