Mixology are proud to present a post-Christmas cracker of an event from one of Britain’s prodigious producers. The DJ Mag Best of British 2012 ‘Best Breakthrough Producer’ & ‘Best Remix’ nominee, Maxxi Soundsystem!
After the runaway success of ‘Criticize’ (a version of Alexander O’Neal’s classic) which had magnanimous support from the likes of Annie Mac, Maxxi Soundsystem has continued to produce a long line of bona fide masterpieces. These include: Get Up (Nurvous Records); Inside The Count (Wolf Music) and Into The Future (Futureboogie). His latest release on Maceo Plex’s Label Ellum Audio ‘Stella’s Way’ is proving to be of the same ilk, with support from the likes of Tensnake, Pete Tong and Solomun.
Maxxi’s sound harbours a mix of catchy disco hooks, a colossus of psychedelic synths and mesmerising acid bass lines. This concoction of engrossing sounds has captured the imagination of dance floors and lauded him with accolades from industry critics. It’s a pleasure that for our last act of 2012 we have someone of Maxxi Soundsystem’s calibre gracing the RED | ROOM decks.
The RED | ROOM in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire was once an old stage room to the prestigious Embassy building where artists such as the Beatles and Rolling Stones once played. Still maintaining its heritage, the RED | ROOM is now a new music based establishment aimed at showcasing artists and DJ’s from around the globe. The exciting 400 capacity venue features a powerful Martin Audio Sound System and a cleverly positioned LED DJ booth which turns the whole venue into one intimate dance floor!
