Mixology returns for our third UNDER instalment on Saturday 13th August with a phenomenal line-up! Three of the most in demand DJs in dance music today all performing below Nene Flyover! We welcome Darius Syrossian, East End Dubs & Peterborough’s very own ALISHA back to Mixo!
DARIUS SYROSSIAN
We are ecstatic to welcome back the phenom that is Darius Syrossian for his fourth appearance at Mixology!
‘It’s all house and techno & and I’m not interested in fads’ – words from our headline act, not only define the style and sound of the man, but also represent the principles by which he is recognised globally.
Driven by an insatiable passion for music, Darius has dedicated his life to sharing the best house and techno records from his unparalleled library of tracks.
For the past twenty-plus years he has immersed himself in the house & techno scene; from running a vinyl record store to becoming one of the most recognised & respected DJs in the world and his lauded residencies at Sankeys and most recently the Do Not Sleep parties.
True to his words regarding his passion for house & techno, Darius’ resident series ‘Moxy Muzik’ has been an instant success in his hometown of Manchester at Joshua Brooks. The emphasis of bringing a no-nonsense, stripped back approach to dance music – played out in an intimate, underground environment with some of the finest DJs across the globe joining him on the night including our other headline pairing of East End Dubs & ALISHA.
It’s a shared philosophy that we have been adhering our Mixology parties to for the past decade.
In conjunction with Darius’ club night, ‘Moxy_Muzik’ has been releasing some incredible material over the past 3 and half years with Darius’ own track ‘Dance of the Shaman’ launching the imprint. Expect to hear some upcoming, unreleased ‘moxy_muzik’ material as well as gems from Darius’ extensive archive at UNDER.
EAST END DUBS
One of the most talented and revered selectors in the UK today. A DJ’s DJ whose passion and talent over the past 15 years have had floors locked into his stripped back but characterful grooves from the dubbed out genres of house, garage and tech.
East End Dubs is imbued with the same urban grit, late night menace and subtle sense of mischief as the East London streets from which he takes his name. It has been that way since 2012 when he first broke through as a producer with a dark and infectious tech sound that has been jacking dance floors all over the world. His own productions are slick, texturally rich affairs that are perfectly sculpted to be a perfect mix of function and form: metallic and mechanical yet scuffed up with a real sense of soul, they diamond cut tools designed for maximum impact with minimal effort.
As a producer, he makes tracks for special moments in the night that help elevate any set above the norm. He views each new release as an attempt to inject his own free spirit into various different grooves – labels like Dogmatik and Metroline as well as his own East End Dubs Vinyl. Releasing limited edition slabs of multicoloured vinyl, the hotter than hot label has become a much talked about outlet that has found its way into the bags of serious selectors like Raresh and Riccardo Villalobos.
The vitality of his DJ sets, draw of his productions and reputation of his label have seen him play across Europe, US, South & Latin America and Australasia, week in, week out. From Eastenderz Showcases in Berlin, New York, Ibiza and Zurich to fabric, DC-10, Studio 338, KaterBlau and Sankeys Ibiza, he plays high profile gigs and international festivals, and always leaves his mark.
ALISHA
Just over 7 years ago, ALISHA played her very first gig at Mixology. Fast-forward to today and Alisha’s DJ career has been ascending at a stratospheric rate with a residency at WHP, a regular on the BPM bills, Paradise, Elrow, Glastonbury and Parklife.
Having racked up over 1m streams across all digital streaming platforms to date and a string of releases on the likes of Kaluki, Libero, Nothing Else Matters, Relief and WYLD, ALISHA has amassed a huge following across the UK.
With support from the likes of East End Dubs, Jamie Jones, Green Velvet and Hot Since 82 and regular features on Radio 1 courtesy of Danny Howard, Pete Tong and Annie Mac, including a mini-mix back in January 2020, ALISHA is now a staple name in the UK dance music scene!
Expect a set delivering high-octane energy with a sound that underpins deep rumbling low-end basslines, driving grooves and stripped back percussion.

Joining Darius Syrossian, EED & ALISHA on the line-up will be our Mixology residents James Chan & Dan Clare (MAUR) who will be warming things up nicely!
We’re also delighted to welcome back Spalding’s own Lee Haslam representing Arc after their debut at MINT Festival as well as House Proud’s Russell James and after their impressive warm-up at UNDER in April, we can’t wait to see what Toby Graham & Louis Jones have up their selector sleeves this time around!

WHAT IS UNDER?
Mixology continues the UNDER concept in to 2022 after the phenomenal success of our first two events.
The Under concept is an outdoor dance event that rivals any UK production of its size.
We bring the world’s best DJs to Peterborough, as well as priding ourselves on ensuring local DJs and producers have a platform to perform.
Artists such as Maur, Alisha, C.O.Z, Micah Baxter, ADR and Roobinz have all played their first gigs at Mixology and have since gone on to be recognised nationally and internationally.

Partnering with Nene Park once more, UNDER is situated in idyllic, unique surroundings that juxtapose the concrete, industrial wasteland and the beautiful, scenic landscapes in the distance of the River Nene and Nene Park itself.

For the past decade, we at Mixology have built an electronic music promotion which is one of the most revered in the East of England, attracting world class DJs to headline every month in Peterborough.
Previous headline artists include the Brit Awards nominated duo Bicep, Patrick Topping, Matthias Tanzmann, Tensnake, Franky Wah, as well as BBC Radio One DJs B.Traits and Danny Howard.
During the past 10 years we have curated in excess of one hundred events that have been regularly featured in local and national press (The Guardian, Mixmag, BBC Radio Cambridgeshire & BBC Radio One) including the spectacular 1,200 attended Mixology Warehouse event at Peterborough Arena, which is still reminisced by Peterboroughians as one of the best events hosted in the city.
